The Munchies...
Had drinks with a couple of friends yesterday and even though I’m pretty sure our waitress wanted to kill us (we were being super annoying) she recommended a shot that all of us just fell in love with. Themed after a chocolate bar, the Crispy Crunch shot (yes, that’s its actual name), is made with vodka, Frangelico, and White Creme de Cacao. Though it was very sweet its definitely something you...

I don’t really like the LOOK of their footwear, but the message behind TOMS is clear. Buy one pair, and another will be given to a child in need. Most of us spend $80 bucks on a pair of shoes anyway so why not help a kid out in the process. I shall definitely be getting a pair soon. They look comfortable….

This year’s look for ladies is all about the look of strength. Make your look polished and commanding; rich tones, solid and dark colored bags, and animal print. Yes, animal print. Just no animal print pants please, unless you live in Queens or Rexdale.

True love? Pranking each other with no boundaries. Probably one of the most funniest couples on Youtube, the videos by Jesse and Jeana from Youtube channel PrankvsPrank, have a combined total of 130 million views. They’ve been putting out videos for two years now and it definitely brightens my day when I see a new video out. Here are my top five favourite videos by PrankvsPrank: ...

The Black Russian; I have absolutely fallen in love with this drink. Over the past couple of months whenever I go out for a drink I find myself ordering at least one Black Russian. The drink seems as if it evaporates in your mouth and leaves a slight bitter taste. It’s made with five parts vodka and 2 parts coffee liqueur so it has a bit of a kick. BE WARNED! This drink is not for...

Men…cargo pants are back for this spring. They’re dubbed to be one of NY’s biggest clothing items this spring. On a budget? Check out Calvin Klein or American Eagle for some killer ones.

I’ve been following this duo for two years now and I love what they can do. Even though they’ve been featured in magazines like Seventeen (what a joke of a magazine right?) I just don’t see a market for VanJess yet. However, they definitely deserve some recognition for their amazing talent. Lets hope this duo can find a spot in the charts for themselves this year or next. Check...

I am a very firm believer that fashion is constantly recycled; last year’s clothing may be too old for this year but bring it out in another ten years and people will look at you like an fashion icon. It may have been for the simple influence of “recycling” that I was so intrigued by Gaultier’s 2012 fall fashion line. His 2012 fall line reminded me of that “ghetto” fashion that most us want to...

Wild Vines Blackberry Merlot: I remember first having this merlot over the Christmas break. I received a bottle as a gift from my aunt and after downing a bottle I headed over to LCBO and picked up 4 more. Though I would say it has a very sweet first taste, the blackberry tartness and basic dryness of the merlot balances the wine completely. If you don’t mind a cheap wine then definitely...

I'm Back!
So I know it’s actually been a few months but I’m definitely back for good! I plan to make about 3-4 posts throughout the week, and am even aiming for daily posts. As the name of the blog suggests, and as you can already see, I like to cover everything and anything; fashion, music, movies, food….life. My circumstances are eclectic after all.

A couple of years ago I remember seeing this trailer, promoted by the Sundance Film Festival, about an immigrant mother and son on their struggle to settle down in America. The trailer itself was beautiful, but because theatres were not showing this non-mainstream movie, I was not able to watch until this year. Highlighting various immigrant struggles, such as lack of funds and cultural...

As I was watching a cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You” on Youtube I fell in love with the arrangement being used. An acknowledgement in the video’s description led me to classical group Aston. A little researching on the group and I found that Aston takes contemporary music and arranges them into breathtakingly beautiful, classical form. Their arrangements of Rihanna...

This weeks spotlight is on the intersection of electro-rap and pop music; in other words, Canadian group, the Candy Coated Killahz. The duo consists of Tasha Schumann and Anomali, both of who have been compared to the likes of Outkast, Robyn, and MIA. Their music has been notoriously known to provoke late night riots and they’ve performed at major venues such as the Toronto International...

Flaws and All
So like every year, summer is about to roll in and like every year many struggle to lose those extra pounds they put on during winter hibernation. With the stress of school and that bitter cold, winter becomes an excuse for many to let go, but when temperatures rise most begin to regret winter indulgences. With the chance to show more skin, the idea of perfection begins to daunt us because at one...
